From left to right: (Front)Emilee, Elizabeth, Ashley, (Back) Paula and Lance. This was taken in their yard in rural Swink, CO. Lance owns his own surveying business and is licensed in several states. Paula keeps herself busy by home-schooling the 3 girls. The whole family loves to cook... wonder where they got that from? Both Paula's parents and ourselves love to cook and eat!!!

Loran runs the bookstore and trade room at Bent's Old Fort in La Junta, CO. He has been working here part-time for nearly three years
Mountain Property
HERE IS A NICE PICTURE OF OUR MOUNTAIN PROPERTY THAT WE HAVE NOW OWNED FOR MANY YEARS AND HAVE NEVER DONE ANYTHING WITH. THIS IS A 2.5 ACRE SIGHT ABOUT 17 MILES WEST AND SOUTH OF THE ROYAL GORGE AREA OFF OF OLD COPPER ROAD. IT HAS A LOT OF NICE TREES, INCLUDING PINON'S WHICH PRODUCE A VERY NUT THAT IS SOLD OUT HERE AS A DELICACY AT A PREMIUM PRICE . EVERY FALL THERE ARE VENDORS SETTING UP ALONG THE ROADS TO SELL THEM. FROM THE NORTH EAST CORNER OF OUR LOTS WE CAN SEE PIKES PEAK ON A VERY CLEAR DAY. MAYBE SOME DAY ONE OF MY SONS OR GRANDKIDS WILL BUILD A VACATION HOME ON IT. WE HOPE ANYWAY THAT THIS WILL BE THE CASE. IF NOTHING THE VALUE HAS SOARED MANY TIMES FROM OUR PURCHASE PRICE.
